Join Shanghai's hottest improv comedy group with their hilarious showcase of crazy characters and unexpected situations, all fueled by your suggestions, exclamations, and hurled insults. People's Republic of Comedy!
We are Shanghai's premier improv comedy troupe, creating an entirely original live performance each show based entirely on suggestions from the audience. If you have ever seen 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' on television, or seen famous improv troupes such as Second City, The Groundlings, ImprovOlympic, or the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) then you have an idea what a People's Republic of Comedy show will be like; except that all of our cast members live full time in Shanghai, so we bring a local dynamism and flavor to our shows - not to mention a deep reverence for Haibao - that no other group can match.
PRC performs at Malone's American Cafe, at 255 Tongren Lu. We perform Wednesdays at 9pm, on the 3rd floor of Malone's. With special 30 RMB drink discounts. Come on down!
